What to do if you drop your iphone in water? fix iphone drop in water

If your iPhone has accidentally dropped in water, it's important to act quickly to minimize the damage. Here are the steps you should take:

  1. Remove the iPhone from the water as soon as possible.
  2. Turn off the iPhone immediately to prevent any electrical damage. If the device is already turned off, do not attempt to turn it on.
  3. Remove any cases or covers from the device, and wipe it down with a soft, dry cloth to remove any excess water.
  4. Do not try to dry the phone using a hairdryer or any other external heat source, as this can cause further damage.
  5. Place the iPhone in a sealed bag filled with uncooked rice or silica gel packets. This will help to absorb any remaining moisture from the device.
  6. Leave the phone in the rice or silica gel for at least 24-48 hours, and do not attempt to turn it on during this time.
  7. After the 24-48 hour period has passed, remove the iPhone from the rice or silica gel and attempt to turn it on. If it does not turn on or appears to be malfunctioning, contact an authorized repair center or Apple Store for further assistance.

It's important to note that water damage can be unpredictable, and even if you follow these steps, there is no guarantee that your iPhone will be fully functional afterward.
